About

Dr. Steffy Mathew, DNP, PMHNP

Dr. Mathew holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice and is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 12 years of experience in healthcare. I provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adults across Pennsylvania.

Because I'm also a Family Nurse Practitioner with acute care experience, I look at the whole picture: sleep, physical health, current medications, and life stressors, not just symptoms. I completed my psychiatric training with a 7-month clinical rotation at Blue Mountain Psychiatry in Pennsylvania.

My approach is collaborative. I start medications low and go slow, explain why we're doing what we're doing, and make decisions with you.

Do you offer therapy or only medication?

My focus is psychiatric evaluation and medication management, with supportive counseling during visits. If you'd also like weekly talk therapy, I can help you find a therapist.

Do I need a referral?

Most plans don't require one. Your coverage check on the booking page will confirm.

Where do I need to be for the visit?

Anywhere in Pennsylvania with a private space and a phone or computer with video.

Do you see teenagers or children?

I currently see adults 18 and older.

What should I have ready?

Your insurance card, a list of current medications, and any past medications you've tried.
